I wear a US 11 with a wider foot, and true to size is my call — the narrow build means my wider foot fills the shoe nicely, and sizing down would pinch the width. Wide feet should never size up in this one: the shoe is already long, and adding length only makes the dead space worse. If you have a slim or narrow foot, that same narrow shoe plus the long toe box is exactly why you go down half a size to kill the dead space. There's also a catch with the heel: the heel counter is unstructured and lightly padded, so non-narrow feet can get some heel slip. Lacing through the top eyelet to lock the heel helps before you decide a pair doesn't fit.
