The one thing everyone agrees on: it runs narrow, like most retro adidas, and the nylon-and-suede upper won't stretch, so tight stays tight.
How it fits, size by size logic
I wear a US 11 with a wider foot, and true to size is my call — the narrow build means my wider foot fills the shoe nicely, and sizing down would pinch the width. If you have a slim or narrow foot, that same narrow shoe plus the long toe box is exactly why some people go down half a size to kill the dead space. There's also a catch with the heel: the heel counter is unstructured and lightly padded, so non-narrow feet can get some heel slip.
