The Samba OG arrives here in a cracked metallic gold finish that shifts the model away from its usual understated leather build. The upper uses crackled gold leather with white leather Three-Stripes and heel tabs, giving the shoe a worn-in texture against the Samba’s sharp indoor-soccer shape. First introduced as an indoor training shoe in the late 1940s, the Samba still carries the same low profile and T-toe construction that defined the original.
The upper is built from leather with a crackled metallic finish, paired with a thin gum rubber outsole that keeps the shoe close to the ground. Gold foil Samba branding sits beside the serrated Three-Stripes, while the leather lining and lace-up closure keep the fit structured compared to softer terrace models. The thin sole and firm leather give the shoe a more athletic feel than most casual retro sneakers.
If you're deciding between this and the Gazelle, the Samba wears narrower and more structured through the toe box. The Gazelle feels softer and roomier out of the box, while the Samba keeps a sharper, cleaner shape on foot.

Shoes are authentic and one of the most comfortable shoes on the market. The Zoom X provides the best cushion I have ever felt and the two zoom air bags creates a very responsive shoe. Shoes are even stable even in spite of its height and provide a complete lockdown of the foot. The only downside is ground feel because of the large stack height of the foam, but that is a sacrifice for maximum cushion.
I have wanted these shoes since I was 12 years old and I am now 48. I used my adult money to finally get them at a great price and they are all that I dreamed they would be. This is about my 12th pair of shoes that I bought from West Coast deals and they're all brand new and I have never paid more than $70 for a pair. Most of them are in the 30s.
