Adidas Samba Sizing Guide (Women's): Do They Run True to Size?

The Samba is the everyday sneaker of the moment — the ultimate clean-girl, goes-with-everything staple — so: do women's Sambas run true to size?

We carry the Sambas at West Coast Deals, and I've worn mine plenty. Here's my read.

Do women's Sambas run true to size? The short answer

Not exactly — the Samba runs slightly long and a little narrow, so most of us size down half a size. If you have wider feet, stay true to size, because sizing down takes away width you actually need.

How they fit

I wear a women's 8.5 with an average-to-slightly-narrow foot, and half a size down was my pick — it cleaned up the slightly long toe box and gave me that snug, secure, no-slop fit without any pinching. At true to size there was just a touch too much shoe up front for me. If your feet are wider, do the opposite and stay true to size; the leather softens a little with wear, so don't oversize just to escape day-one snugness.

What they are

The Samba is the late-1940s indoor-soccer trainer turned everyday icon — leather upper, suede T-toe, thin gum sole. It's the narrowest and most structured of the classic terrace shoes, which is exactly why it looks so sharp with everything.

Final verdict

Slightly long and narrow — slim and average feet size down half, wide feet stay true. For the full size-by-size story, see our main Samba sizing guide, and browse the Black/Cream Samba OG.
