The T500 is New Balance's clean retro lifestyle sneaker — so: does the T500 run true to size?

Does the New Balance T500 run true to size? The short answer
Yes — true to size for most, with a snug feel. The suede and nubuck upper has very little stretch, so it doesn't open up for wider feet the way a knit would.
How it fits
I wear a US 11 with a wider foot. True to size was snug across the widest part of my foot, and because the upper barely gives, I'd point wide feet to a half size up rather than hoping it breaks in wide. There is a short break-in (a week or two) as the foam conforms, but the width won't change much. Narrow and standard feet are fine at true to size.
What it is
The T500 is a retro-inspired lifestyle sneaker with a pigskin suede and nubuck upper, perforated toe detailing, and a firm-then-conforming foam midsole. It's a clean, vintage-leaning everyday shoe.
Final verdict
True to size with a snug, low-stretch fit. Average and narrow feet order normal; wide feet go up half a size. See it in the New Balance collection — the Cream T500 — and our New Balance brand spotlight.
